A porcelain ginger jar featuring a high-shouldered body, short neck, and a matching domed cover with a bud-shaped finial. The exterior is hand-painted in overglaze wucai (five-color) enamels. The main body depicts a ferocious, long-scaled imperial dragon with five claws navigating through stylized multicolored clouds and flames. The neck features a geometric diaper band, and the foot is decorated with an upright petal/lappet border. The unglazed base rim shows an explicit underglaze blue six-character mark within a double ring.
