This beautiful black lacquer cabinet is in a distinctly Chinois style with its mother of pearl and precious stone figures in relief set amongst silver painted courtly garden scenes. The backboard of the cabinet in fact folds down. The surface of the cabinet opens to reveal a mirror, a geometric carved wooden Chinese pattern, and drinks holders. The many side cupboards on the curved corners or the sides also provide space for the storage of food and drink ware.
