This eqxuisitely knotted carpet hails from Isfahan in Central Persia. It is characterised by sweeping floral patterns over a base of deep velvet red purple outer border and turquoise blue on the interior. The centre of the carpet is dominated by a large floral medallion in the centre uniting all of the wonderfully rich colours.
